The aspherical lens system was first used in very expensive binoculars and cameras. It wasn't used in riflescopes because it couldn't take the pounding that scopes demanded. Not anymore! Simmons has created a new aspherical lens system, just for riflescopes. It now performs beautifully in their new, more compact 44mm scope, AETEC. It creates the widest field of view in the industry, and the edges are as bright as the center. Plus it has a longer eye relief than most conventional wide angle systems. AETEC features fully multi-coated lenses, 1/4 MOA adjustments, and is waterproof, shockproof and fogproof. Now available with illuminated reticles. Aspherical lens system creates a flatter light path as light travels through the scope, this also results in a wider field of view and longer eye relief. Fully multi-coated camera quality optics with shockproof, waterproof, and fogproof construction. 1/4 moa adjustments and a standard truplex reticle. The Aetec series are more compact than the WhiteTail Expedition. FOV - Field of View @ 100 yds (ft.) |
